On June 20, 2019, in the formal atmosphere of the 10th Anniversary Ceremony of the University, Thu Dau Mot University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Logistics Institute - Singapore and Pitchayabundit College- Thai Lan.
Developing training program of Logistics Management sector with Singapore Logistics Institute.
The Institute of Logistics-Singapore was founded in 1972. The Institute was an educational organization dedicated to train students from beginner to advanced specialization in Logistics management and Supply chain management of Singapore (SIPMM). The courses were offered in several different levels from operated certification to advanced certification, as well as the short-time courses on executive and professional level. In the strategy of developing scientific and educational activities, Thu Dau Mot University and Logistics Institute have similar educational goals and respect international cooperation opportunities. Therefore, the content of the MOU memorandum aims to establish and promote strategic cooperation between two units.
At the ceremony, Associate Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh - Vice Rector of Thu Dau Mot University and Mr. Stephen Poh - Managing Director of Singapore Logistics Institute, together, signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the relationship in the educational science cooperation between two parties. Accordingly, the two units will work together to develop a training program for Logistics Administration at the university level. In order to meet the specific of this industry in Vietnam, the two sides would maintain consistently the contact; enhanced the research surveys to build the frame of the training program and suitable standard output. Simultaneously, the Singapore Logistics Institute will actively support other cooperative activities between the two units, regularly provide information about the Institute's scholarship program as well as other academic information to Thu Dau Mot University.
Promoting scientific and educational cooperation program with Pitchayabundit College (Thailand)
Pitchayabundit College (Thailand) and Thu Dau Mot University are reputable training institutions that have been recognized in their home countries. The signing of this MOU memorandum with the aim of realizing the exchanges and discussions has been discussed before during the work of the two universities.
On behalf of the two units, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh - Vice Rector of Thu Dau Mot University and Associate Professor Chalard Chantarasombat - Pitchayabundit College Vice-Chancellor signed the MOU memorandum with the principles of cooperation: exchange, transfer training programs, curriculum, teaching materials and academic materials; Cooperation in training at the level of university, master and doctor; exchange lecturers and students in teaching, learning and scientific research; organized seminars, cooperated to open Vietnamese Language Center in Thailand. In addition to the contents of MOU memorandum, Thu Dau University is committed to accompanying, supporting and helping Pitchayabundit College develop into a university; training and teaching Vietnamese for lecturers and students in the next time.
With the practical content of the signed, the cooperation program between Thu Dau Mot University with Pitchayabundit University (Thailand), and with Singapore Logistics Institute, opened opportunities for exchange and improve academics between units to promote the strengths of each unit. This is also an opportunity to help Thu Dau Mot University's students, fellows to exchange, study in the leading educational environment in Singapore and Thailand.
