On the morning of October 17, 2018, Prof. Kati Migliaccio - Dean of Agriculture and Biotechnology of the University of Florida and colleagues visited and worked with Thu Dau Mot University to exchange about the potential of cooperation in training, scientific research and Technology transfer in the field of agricultural engineering, intelligent biology. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh - Vice Rector, together with leaders of the Department of Science, University Training, International Cooperation, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Center for Experimental Research.

Opening the meeting, Prof. Kati Migliaccio said that in this business trip, along with maintaining and promoting cooperation with the partner units in Vietnam, the University of Florida is also looking forward to establishing a cooperative relationship with universities that has the same similar strengths in training, scientific research, and technology transfer in the fields of agricultural technique and applied biology. It is known that Thu Dau Mot University is strongly implementing research on high-quality agriculture, intelligent biology, and a reputable unit in the transfer, supply of biological products for the market, Prof. Kati Migliaccio proposed to cooperate with the Thu Dau Mot university through the programs: student exchange, lecturers exchange; co-organize talks and seminars; coordinate in carrying out scientific researchs in the field of agriculture and applied biology.

In response, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh gave a welcome speech and thanked the University of Florida for choosing Thu Dau Mot University as a partner in the strategic activities of University. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh affirmed that Thu Dau Mot University always welcomed cooperation proposals from the University of Florida in the fields of suitability, priority, and strengths of both sides. Associate Professor Tuan Anh added that strengthening the cooperation with the University of Florida will contribute to effectively implementing the policy of improving the quality in training, scientific research, and technology transfer in the field of agriculture, biology of School. Associate Professor hoped that the two universities would promote good educational cooperation in the future through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Within the framework of the meeting, the leaders of both sides agreed that the student exchange program will be the started activity for potential cooperation projects of the two units in the coming time.
