The festival is an academic playground organized annually by Thu Dau Mot University, helping students present research results, exchange and discuss with teachers, scientists, entrepreneurs; display and introduce their products and scientific research results. To ensure the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, this year's festival is organized in both face-to-face and online forms, creating safe conditions for staff, teachers, and students to attend.

After 6 months of implementation, 171 topics have been approved by the Faculty-level Evaluation and Acceptance Council. From the above results, the Scientific Council also selected 58 topics to be submitted to the IX "Young Scientific Talents of Thu Dau Mot University" Award - 2021 (Faculty of Management Science: 14 topics, Institute of Engineering and Technology: 11 topics, Faculty of Economics: 09 topics, Faculty of Education: 07 topics, Institute of Application Development: 05 topics, Faculty of Culture Industry: 05 topics, Faculty of Architecture 04 topics and the Faculty of Foreign Languages 03 topics).

On the basis of 58 topics participating in the award consideration, on May 18, 2021, the Organizing Committee arranged 08 sub-committees, with 24 research topics explained by groups of students in front of the council in direct and online form. At the plenary session, there were 04 typical topics selected to be presented directly. According to the evaluation of the council, the works have been invested and implemented seriously and thoroughly, showing new research results and research methods in accordance with the criteria of the scientific council. In particular, 01 research paper has been published in the proceedings of an international conference, 01 article in an international journal (online), 02 articles in the English version of Thu Dau Mot University, and 04 articles in domestic magazines. At the same time, the Organizing Committee of the Student Science Festival in 2021 also selected and edited 75 reports from the results of the student's scientific research projects in the Proceedings of the Festival.

At the end of the festival, the organizers awarded 05 First prizes, 12 Second prizes, 21 Third prizes, 18 Consolation prizes for this year's topics. These topics will be received, selected and invested by the Center for Business Cooperation and Startups to develop into startup projects.
