At the forum, the Vietnam - Laos Higher Education Exhibition 2019 was also taken place there. Attending the forum were Vietnamese Vice Minister of Education & Training Nguyen Van Phuc; Lao Deputy Minister of Education & Sports Khathaly Siliphongphan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Lao Nguyen Ba Hung, and 250 delegates representing 40 higher education institutions of Vietnam and more than 20 educational management agencies, businesses in Laos. At the forum, there were 15 cooperation agreements were signed between Vietnamese higher education with Laos' education managements, educational institution, and enterprises.

Through this forum, Thu Dau Mot University advised to the 12th-grade students and students of the Lao National University of Laos on the university's postgraduate and university admission information in 2019-2020, introduce the scientific and educational achievements of TDMU at the Vietnam-Laos Higher Education Exhibition 2019. This helps Lao students have more opportunities to contact and exchange information and find out, looking for study opportunities at Thu Dau Mot University.

Over the past years, Thu Dau Mot University has cooperated with Champasak province to provide Vietnamese language training and train bachelor in specialties for Laos international students. There have been 29 graduates graduating and returning to work in Laos. Currently, 40 students are studying the fields of Information Systems, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Architecture, English Linguistic ... With the expansion of international cooperation training, Thu Dau Mot University would like to welcome Lao students to study and research in the future.
